Axon Moore are recruiting for a growing hotel/luxury accommodation chain in the central Leeds area for a Financial Controller who is ready to help lead two brands within the group through a period of significant growth and change over the next 18 months.

The business combines hotel and accommodation brands to form a £13m operation, a figure which they intend to double over the coming year and a half. They have similar intentions with additions to the finance team, looking to add two further members of the team by the end of the growth period. With the current FC retiring, the business need to take on an FC with the agility and enthusiasm for what will be a key period in the development of the two brands.

Reporting into the Head of Finance & COO with one junior report, the role will be responsible for all accounting and financial management requirements for the two brands within the wider group whilst managing a small team within the larger accounts department. The role will cover the following areas:

-Maintenance of proper and complete accounting records for each property within the brands and ensuring the all records and transactions are accurate.
-Implementation of necessary controls to safeguard assets and properties.
-Preparation of financial reports and provision of MI for management.
-Budgets and forecasts.
-Ensuring established control and procedures across cash management, purchasing, receiving and stores are maintained and improved upon.
-Assisting with new computer system migration.
-Further responsibilities across stock takes, tax and audit.

The ideal candidate will have a number of years experience in a similar role. Full qualification in ACCA/CIMA/ACA is essential for candidates with little or no experience in the hospitality/property sectors, however the business will consider those qualified by experience from relevant sectors. Good computer skills, more specifically excellent Excel skills, are a necessity. Prior experience of management would also be useful.

This is a genuinely exciting time to get on board with the business, with opportunities both within the brand and in the wider group on offer as the business moves forward.
