Service Engineer CNC Machinery

Telford (UK wide role with frequent travel)

Salary broadly negotiable dependant on experience + Car + HMRC mileage rates + Overtime + Benefits including Contributory Pension scheme.

Service Engineer required to join UK arm of specialist manufacturer of CNC machinery. Specific training and overtime earning potential available to the right person.

The role is vacant due to a need to expand the service team by adding an experienced engineer with knowledge of installing, maintaining, fault finding and repairing various types of CNC machines.

Specific knowledge of 3 and 5 axis machines and Siemens controls would be advantageous but all CNC machinery maintenance experience will be considered. This is a need for a multi skilled engineer but the bias and focus will be mechanical with at least basic electrical competencies required.

The role will be based as part of the team working out of Telford and you will have a company car. You will have daily contact with the Telford location and travel frequently to the company premises there. The role will involve a range of installation, maintenance and repair on a wide range of CNC machinery, many of which are specialised bespoke applications for specific client needs. They range across metal, plastic and wood working applications for various industries. Many of the company’s client base are within the automotive manufacturing sector although they serve many industries globally. The customer locations will be mostly UK mainland and Ireland, any rare expectation to travel to other countries would be longer term once the required skill level has been reached on the specific machinery.

The vehicle provided will be available for personal use and all fuel for business mileage will be reclaimed through HMRC rates. Mileage traveling from home to the Telford location will be considered commuting and will non-refundable.

The role in brief:

* Carry out installations, routine maintenance and servicing, fault finding and repair of CNC machinery.
* Travel to UK wide and Ireland based customer locations.
* Occasional travel to Germany to the company’s manufacturing sites as required.

The Person Required:

* An experienced CNC service and maintenance engineer
* Knowledge of a range of metal, plastic and wood working machinery considered as many different applications worked on within role.
* Experience working with 3 and 5 axis machines and knowledge of Siemens controls highly advantageous but all CNC machinery and control systems experience can be considered
