A FTSE business based in Milton Keynes are looking to recruit a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. This is a newly created role within Strategy and Corporate Development supporting the Group in producing key portfolio, scenario and financial information which will support business decisions and enable successful delivery of business strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and own a detailed group financial model
  • Evaluate different portfolio optimisation scenarios - both at group and divisional level
  • Manage elements of and incorporate outputs of the group's strategic planning processes including short term latest views, medium term forecasts and long term strategic plans for P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
  • Provide market insight and commercial analysis to identify and analyse potential strategic and operational opportunities for the group
  • Tracking delivery of business initiatives and providing insight and analysis for success criteria
  • Work with divisions to assist in the preparation of long range plans and business cases for new capital expenditure purposes and cost benefit analysis
  • Support the group's strategic development activities including competitor reporting and benchmarking
  • Drive pricing and pricing analysis initiatives
  • Manage investment, efficiency and cost reduction initiatives
  • Working closely with the corporate development team to provide financial support on new business opportunities

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant with PQE experience
  • Exceptionally strong in MS Excel with advanced modelling skills and sound knowledge of other MS programmes
  • Excellent ability in reviewing financial information with a critical eye and strong attention to detail, identifying data anomalies, trends or deviations
  • A proven ability to simplify and present complex financial information for senior managers to assist decision-making across the organisation
  • Strong technical, financial and analytical skills and mathematically inclined
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines and to a consistent high standard with minimum supervision
  • The ability to use initiative, think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Work effectively with all levels of management and staff, and is a team player
  • Commercially minded
