Business Analyst / Data Analyst

My client is a massive internet based company who are consistently voted one of the best places to work and develop careers. They are looking for a Business/Data Analyst with a strong analytical background and strong ability to work cross functionally with teams outside of your own.

You will be looking at sales data from across EMEA so any experience working with teams across this region or working with e-commerce data would be a great advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Work with EMEA partner manager teams to identify and summarise business trends and opportunities across multiple countries and retailers
• Work on variety of ad hoc and ongoing analytical initiatives to drive gift card sales
• Extract sales, redemption, and spend data from large SQL databases and perform large scale data analysis and modelling using spreadsheets and R
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to improve reporting and operational efficiency
• Measure impact of business initiatives, including promotional evaluation, store-level A/B testing
• Use analytical outputs to make concrete recommendations to drive sales
• Create monthly/quarterly presentations to summarise business trends and inform action planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years experience in an analytical field
• Experience managing stakeholders, especially supporting sales or business development teams, and prioritise incoming tasks according to impact
• Proficiency in data extraction/manipulation, statistical and analytical scripting tools (SQL, R, etc.)
• Strong data visualization skills
• Ability to distill broad business problems into discrete analysis questions
• Experience turning analysis results and into actionable recommendations
• Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise
