Lecturer in Computing West Suffolk College - £30,135 to £36,219 Permanent Contract 35 hours per week

Role Responsibilities

* Teach and assess on a range of programmes as required by the Head of School Computing.

* Participate in the development of existing and new course programmes and assume responsibility for areas of work as appropriate
* Participate in course team meetings, curriculum planning and materials development as appropriate.
* Attend Employer, Parent, Career and other evenings as appropriate.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

* A degree in an IT or computing related discipline (equivalent professional experience might be considered).
* Teaching qualification (PGCE or Certificate in Education) would be advantageous, however industry only experience will be considered.
* Experience of Software development, programming to include C#, Java, and Web Development to include CSS, PHP and database connectivity Linux skills would be beneficial as would networking and computer systems.
