Built on a 2000-strong team with a wide range of skills and experience, there's one constant running through the business - 'Change' as the business regularly makes £1bn+ acquisitions. If you join the team you will have opportunity to drive growth and progress through your own success. They have an outstanding track record in moving finance people around their business to develop their experience and capabilities.Their Telford location is a few minutes’ walk from the train station, or adjacent to Junction 5 of the M54, making it very accessible.

The Opportunity:

This is a newly created position and some background explanation will be useful.ReAssure is the major business within Swiss Re Life Capital. The other smaller entities are on disparate system platforms and it makes sense to harmonise systems and processes from an efficiency perspective. This is the first of perhaps 3 finance roles to be created as part of a 2-3 year change programme.

After spending 3 months learning what “business as usual” looks like in the smaller Life Capital business, you will move into the Project team representing finance, with your work encompassing: migrating other companies onto the ReAssure platform (Oracle), onboarding any new business deals, and supporting business adjustments as those entities evolve.

•Utilise your Finance subject matter expertise to assess project requirements, helping to define solutions and providing impact assessments

•Perform gap analysis and process mapping to fully understand requirements and identify potential risks and issues

•Perform mapping exercises between as-is and to-be systems to support the creation of static data tables and prepare for data migrations

•Maintain documentation of all analysis in line with company policies and procedures

•Perform testing of developed solution including regressing testing on current systems

•Provide training to new users of systems

•Work closely with key stakeholders across IT, Change, Life Capital management and Life Capital operating entities

•Maintain and develop knowledge of ReAssure Finance IT systems and Swiss Re group reporting tools in order to continue providing effective support.

•Represent ReAssure in Life Capital change projects to ensure no impact on ReAssure systems

•Represent ReAssure in Life Capital change projects to minimise the impact on the wider Finance team

Skills & Experience Needed:

•Experience in using Oracle, a background in finance, and experience working with IT teams to develop financial systems.
