This company underwrites a diverse portfolio of property, casualty and marine insurance and reinsurance business on a world-wide basis. The company markets and underwrites speciality insurance products and programmes to a variety of niche markets.
The Claims department aim to be market-leaders in the provision of an efficient, cost-effective and professional service to our brokers and clients.
This team is handling a broad range of UK and international claims and includes Sports Personal Accident, Theatrical Personal Accident, Medical Benefits and Miscellaneous Personal Accident. Claims can arise out of property and business interruption, employers' and public liability and terrorism risks.
·Deliver a customer focused approach to claims through speed of service and open, honest and personable communications with all brokers and (re)insureds.
·Manage claims, including third party agreements (TPA) and service providers
·Treat customers fairly and report any complaints immediately so that these can be addressed quickly. Notify any potential or actual conflicts of interest in accordance with our procedures.
·Review workloads and claim counts regularly and escalate any concerns you have to your Claims Manager.
·Working knowledge of the claims environment
·Experience with a Settlement Authority
·Strong written and spoken communication skills in the English language
·Possess good IT (Microsoft Office) skills, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook and ability to use or learn our in-house systems
·Professional qualification or membership desired or required to perform the role; some may require periodic renewal or continuing professional development
·Possess excellent customer service skills (understanding and appreciating the role of the claims broker as our customer)
·Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, pay close attention to detail and work in a logical and thorough manner
·Take responsibility and accountability for own claims
·Identify problems and be proactive in their resolution
