Trainee Practice Manager / Senior Senior - Top 50 Firm!

Following continued growth, our top 50 client based in Pinner are seeking a qualified Accountant to provide and deliver high quality tax, accountancy & VAT services with the personal touch that their business clients expect

You will work closely with the existing team and will be taking a leading role in the preparation of final work

The main objective for this unique role is to find a confident Senior Accountant who is focused on achieving a management role in the next 1-2 years

Our client is a top 50 firm who specialise in providing accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings and tax advice to small businesses. Nationally they have over 70,000 clients

Roles & Responsibilities for the Trainee Practice Manager / Senior Accountant Role:

  • Preparation, review and submission of limited liability, partnership and sole trader accounts
  • Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns for all business types to include CIS
  • Preparation, review and submission of Corporation and Personal Tax returns
  • Payroll - set up, monthly runs and RTI, email payslips, quarterly PAYE P30's, P45 and P60
  • Update Auto Enrolment
  • Maintain very good relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Working in partnership with the Director to take some of the daily pressure away from them so they can focus on expanding the business

The ideal candidate for the Trainee Practice Manager / Senior Accountant will have:

  • Worked within an accountancy practice for 2 years +
  • In-depth working knowledge of an accounting software system such as CCH or equivalent
  • A high level of computer literacy and experience using Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook etc
  • AAT or ACCA Fully Qualified
  • Experience in bookkeeping packages such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to deal with clients and team members
  • Able to manage and prioritise the workload to ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Approachable, self-motivated and be able to work without close supervision
  • Desire to learn and keep up with tax legislation
  • First rate oral and written communication skills with excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
