Online Product & Merchandising Manager

Location: Middlesex

Salary: £28-42k depending on experience

Job description:

This role continues beyond launch of the main website because of the rate at which products are listed and de-listed from the range and the increasing number and sophistication of websites. The ongoing role will further include online visual merchandising and search engine optimisation to support traffic generation & the visual appeal of websites in order to grow direct and indirect sales.

Key goals / responsibilities:

*Prepare product upload files for the ecommerce site:
oWork with colleagues in categories and commercial support to prioritise
new products to be added
oLiaise professionally with brands to supplement information where required
oManage image edits with external artworker
oEnsure that product information is accurate, detailed and consistent
oManage progress to ensure all products are launched on time
oUnderstand and resolve issues relating to source data errors
oEnsure that products are displayed in all relevant categories & hierarchies
oUpload product images to the websites
*Ensure product display on websites is aesthetically pleasing and products
are strategically merchandised across the site.
oInput to creation and management of curated categories, highlighting
relevant products to site visitors.
*General support for the digital team, including research and reporting
where appropriate.
*Ad hoc research of our competitor online activity.
*Working with Online Manager to provide information & response to store

Skills & Experience
*Have worked in an online / e-commerce data team for a minimum of 2 years
*Good understanding of e-commerce, especially the importance of good product
*High level of skill in Excel
*Knowledge of Magento and JDA an advantage
*Confidence and ability to deal credibly and professionally with
external brands.

*Skilled at anticipating problems and finding solutions
*Passionate about the products being sold, aware of new launches, etc.
*Confident and pro-active approach
*Ability to "see the wood for the trees"
*Ability to multi-task and thrive working within a busy team environment.
