Part Time IT Officer required for an established and rapidly developing training organisation - MKC TS Ltd, based at The Royal School of Military Engineering in Chatham, Kent.

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 13:00£22K pro rata (£13200 for 25 hours per week) + excellent benefits

Main tasks:

- Main lead in the day to day set up of the integrated computerised stock and asset control system under the management and direction of the IT Co-Ordinator.
- Provide support and maintenance in response to logged fault calls and requests for IT services from MKC TS staff.
- Support and maintain IT systems including desktop provision, network infrastructure and associated software and business applications
- Assist in the IT related aspects of the RSME Training Transformation project.
- Provision of New IT (new installs, hardware / software, asset records, user interaction, quotations etc)
- Manage Existing IT (system support, help manage outsourced ICT support, audits, consumables, user guidance etc)

Desirable Qualifications:

- CompTIA A+ or equivalent
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) qualification or similar

Essential Requirements:

- Good working knowledge of a number of different ICT systems. Including some experience of system implementation
- Strong Administrative skills and attention to detail
- An appreciation of general database principles, configuration and troubleshooting
- Drive, enthusiasm and hands on approach
- Good communication skills and customer service approach
- Good report Writing Skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Confident use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook with some experience of using databases
- Full Clean driving licence

Desirable Experience:

- Experience of implementing a multi store stock management system
- Working towards or in possession of a Microsoft qualification or similar
- Use of stock and asset FM software or similar package
- Experience of installing and configuring computer hardware and ancillary components such as printers
- Experience of configuring and troubleshooting LAN, VPN and wireless TCP/IP networks
