The Role

Working as part of Marketing Technology team, we’re looking for a talented .NET developer to help us continue our work on our market-leading, proprietary technology platform, Forecaster. As specialists in online retailing we’ve been using technology to drive decision making and performance for many years and have a suite of tools that deliver record breaking performance across our clients campaigns.

In this role you will be required to deliver high quality .NET development work within the project teams, supporting other team members and third parties. The responsibilities in this role are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priorities. This is primarily a task-focused job, requiring somewhat authoritative leadership style that is results driven.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and improving solutions based on C#. NET, Microsoft C#. NET Core, Azure, MSSQL
  • Defining the common development standards
  • Integrating both the internal and 3rd party systems and components (APIs, libraries)
  • Following and improving the SCRUM delivery process
  • Following and improving the team release process
  • Communicating with the team in Prauge
  • Participating on application maintenance and support
  • Testing
  • Technical documentation
  • Proposing technical solution for new functionality
  • Reviewing, analysing and refactoring existing code and identify areas of improvements with impact to performance or maintability
  • Communicate and cooperate within the development team to increase work efficiency and remove work-related obstacles
  • Participate in defining and using common development standards (coding rules, OOP, continuous integration)
  • Use source code versioning to ensure the implemented code is always up to date and stored
  • Prepare and perform any release based on common release guidelines and related release notes
  • Actively communicate other involves teams and colleagues when more information is needed or testing is required
  • Independently resolve client issues/enquires
  • Independently write and perform unit/integration tests to ensure stability and reliability
  • Create and maintain documentation for any new or existing system/tool/feature
  • Decompose tasks, propose technical solution and provide high level estimates for new required functionality
  • Create Jira stories/subtasks when needed
  • Review implemented solutions
  • Identify performance issues and security vulnerabilities and propose improvements accordingly
  • Participate in daily and weekly meetings, as well as planning, estimation, grooming and review meetings

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3 + years in .NET development
  • 1 + years in DB (MSSQL/AzureDB/Oracle/Sybase) design, development and maintenance
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker and Kubernetes/OAuth/OpenID, Microsoft Powershell and Linux/Unix bash is beneficial
  • Can work independently on defined tasks and finish them within estimated time
  • Can read and understand technical documentation
