The creative solutions team in Global Internal Communications is responsible for delivering the highest quality, industry-leading essential communications and engagement activities for our employees around the globe.

We’re looking for a strong team leader to plan, prioritise, resource-manage, and continually develop the team, helping them deliver authentic, interactive and memorable programmes, campaigns and communications.

You have a vision and a real passion for perfection in communications. You flourish with getting the best out of people and are able to coach and motivate them to do the best work of their lives. We need a real collaborator, to support cross-team, global and virtual working, with a balanced disrespect of structure and the status quo.

You know how to manage all types of resources (people, budget, third parties) to build communications that delight and amaze our employees - and deliver against our outcomes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Building the capability of the team, ensuring we have the right mix of skills to deliver what Aviva needs in a fast-paced environment, particularly in a digital workplace.
•Aligning resources to deliver the communications plan, including detailed budgeting, in collaboration with the communications leads.
•Forward planning and leading a pipeline of projects, responding to short-term demands from across the global business. Making this work with a clear process for prioritisation.
•Coach, advise and support our team to build their capabilities and confidence in partner engagement and influencing skills.
•Hold the highest standards around quality of output. Whether it’s a piece of writing for Aviva World or *********, a social-media campaign, or a film.
•Work with communications teams in all markets to share standard methodology and make the best use of the teams’ resource – learning from each other and sharing expertise across all markets.
•Close to the business – understanding the context that our communications are landing in
•Pushing the boundaries on what creative solutions really are – always challenging what’s gone before, looking for new and different ways. Using external best practice, lessons learned, insight and data to develop thinking and skills constantly.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•Experience in a role which demonstrates leadership and mentoring capabilities.
•Ability to problem-solve and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organisation, so you can coach your team to do the same using different tools and techniques.
•Using the philosophy “Do it once” but understanding there are differing requirements both within UK and Global audiences, ensuring these are considered from the onset.
•Understand what makes people tick – be a phenomenal coach and motivator
•Tact and good people management skills
•Ability to push back on overbooking of resources
•Understanding of work, effort, and quality in design and production with demonstrated experience
•Ability to meet deadlines, maintain a positive attitude and remain flexible in a changing and fast-paced work environment
•Able to demonstrate strong performance management skills – getting the best out of your team and developing skills for the future
•Willingness to travel as required.
