CAD & BOM Data Management Engineer

Salary: Competitive

We recently announced a trial with the Royal Mail, we are the Official Electric Truck Partner of the FIA Formula E Championship, and we supply the components to the first fully electric and driverless race car and racing series, Roborace.

We’ve assembled some of the finest minds in software, engineering, AI and robotics and we’re now seeking a CAD & BOM Data Management Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • To accurately maintain Computer Aided Design (CAD) management systems and co-ordinate and update the Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • To review all engineering changes and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) as necessary
  • To develop and confirm check point for design release - CAD, Material, Drawing.
  • Co-ordinate Bill of Materials (BOM) with Purchasing and the wider R&D Team as appropriate
  • To ensure accuracy and consistency between all Product Data Systems
  • To maintain new or modify existing CAD designs
  • To provide regular updates on a timely basis
  • To ensure the relevant information flows between all stakeholders
  • To provide day to day guidance and support to the engineering, procurement and manufacturing teams both internally and externally to ensure effective working relationships and ultimate product delivery.
  • An ambassador driving continuous improvement in process documentation and efficiency.

Expertise:

  • Degree or equivalent in engineering and or professional qualifications within Engineering together with mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with CAD, PDM and PLM Systems.
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) documentation and database management together with a good understanding and appreciation of CAD design interpretation.
  • Knowledge of product development process
  • Excellent IT Microsoft Office skills
