To gain this Maths Academic Learning Mentor position you must have:

  • a desire to become a Maths teacher
  • the ability to commit to a full time role for the rest of the academic year
  • a bachelor's degree 1st or 2:1 graded
  • matching A Level & GCSE results
  • excellent written and spoken communication skills

The Role

  • Work 1:1 and 1:2 on small group sessions
  • Focus on Maths GCSE preparation
  • Insight into teaching- help with lesson preparation and marking
  • Head of Maths will be your dedicated mentor

Maths Academic Learning Mentor

You will be a recent Maths graduate who has gained at least a 2:1 in your degree. This school's ideal candidate is an ambitious graduate who can relate to their students and will be an enthusiastic addition to the school environment. You must be able to showcase your knowledge of the Maths curriculum in a fun and engaging way.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the schools dynamic maths department as an Academic Learning Mentor. You will be working to develop and expand on your skill set and after a period of training provide the occasional cover lesson.
