Site Engineering Manager
We’ve got a fantastic job for a Site Engineering Manager to join our Colne manufacturing site which forms part of the senior team. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will work closely with the Production Managers to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is planned in advance to avoid production disruption.
The role is working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with some flexibility required.
Requirements of the Job
As the Site Engineering Manager you will promote and ensure safe working practices at all times across the site and attainment of Production plan on a daily basis within planned hours and planned manning levels. You will be achieving daily customer service levels around external and internal customer requirements. Control the engineering budget and appropriate investments to drive continual improvement and monitoring colleague engagement scores and staff turnover levels. You will be responsible for the delivery of Continuous Improvement culture within engineering function.

You will have previous experience working in Manufacturing/FMCG or a similar fast paced, commercially focused environment. You will have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of coaching, motivating and engaging a team: demonstrating assertiveness and decision making skills and have a can do attitude to your work. You will ideally be of graduate calibre or equivalent with proven experience of developing and leading a strong performing engineering function.
About our Manufacturing Colne Site
Woodhead Brothers (Abattoir) was re-developed in 2013/4 covering 180,000 sq ft on 9 acres of land. They have 840 colleagues and run a 5 day operation. They supply Morrisons' stores and Farmer's Boy with raw materials to produce a full range of butchery products including materials for sausage, pies and cooked meats. It is one of the largest meat processing facilities in Europe
