Job title: Procurement Category Manager – Directs

Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk. PE30 2JJ

Salary Range: £38,700 to £45,100

FTE Working Pattern: Permanent. 37.5 hours a week

Are you an experienced Procurement Category Manager / Buyer with strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills that can help us with establishing a centre of excellence procurement department?

As a Procurement Category Manager – Directs at Bespak you will build strategic relationships with critical suppliers and develop risk mitigation strategies to provide secure and cost effective sources for specialist commodities.

You will partner with the end-to-end supply chain to deliver high quality products and will seek out and lead on opportunities for supplier rationalisation, competitive tendering, tail spend management and supplier-sourced innovation. You will also ensure necessary contractual arrangements are constructed and that service level agreements are in place and delivered on.

What will success look like in this role?

  • Direct Material spend budgets are produced and monitored enabling us to assess potential profit margins
  • Category Plans signed off with line manager and key stakeholders.
  • Direct materials, spend under contract baselined, and managed.
  • Contract database up to date and maintained.
  • Project Charters/ Relationship Governance Structures agreed and signed off by Sponsor and Line Manager.
  • Objectives agreed and maintained/updated within agreed systems.
