The Bridge IT is working on behalf of a market leading brand to recruit a senior Digital leader to be based at their Head Offices in South Yorkshire.

Our Client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Digital Trading Manager which sits within a high performing Online function. The job holder will bring a history of leading Digital/eCommerce teams; using that experience to help drive commercial performance of the Digital Trading dept in addition to defining and developing expansion plans at the digital business.

As Digital Trading Manager you will need to be a strong leader capable of managing and motivating a team alongside breeding a customer driven focus. You will have a proven track record in proactively increasing sales and profit margins in conjunction with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.

Strong communication skills are also a must in order for you to build and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate ideas, tasks and deadlines to key decision makers within the firm.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the digital trading team including digital category planning, S&OP planning, forecasting, performance reporting, analysis, promotion planning and execution as well as liaison with internal stakeholders
  • Lead the trading team and champion their growth and development
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, address operational challenges, provide escalation management, influence and balance business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize ROI while providing a great customer experience
  • Lead the Trading team in developing and implementing plans to grow the digital business across existing and new categories
  • Lead the development and implementation of new initiatives e.g. new channels to market, new features and functionality, third party partnerships
  • Accountable for achieving full year, monthly and weekly budgeted revenue and margin targets without sacrificing the customer experience
  • Meet all customer key performance indicators e.g. bounce rate, conversion, dwell time
  • Review the product range and influence category teams to deliver product selection that meets the needs of the online customer
  • Identify and work with third party suppliers to expand relevant online exclusive product ranges

  • Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance and determine improvements
  • Understanding and use of web metrics and how to gauge
  • Ability to analyze data quantitatively and use customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of trading programs
  • 3+ years leading an ecommerce trading team
  • 2 years plus experience in a similar role ideally in a multi-category general retailer
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in roles requiring data analysis, process improvements, creative problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Minimum 3 year's site trading experience executing highly visible online trading initiatives
