YOUR ROLE

We have an excellent new opportunity for an experienced Environmental Auditor, to join our global organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting professional management system audits in accordance SGS' procedures to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet customer requirements and appropriate accreditation standards.

Key Accountabilities

Conduct audits (desk-based or on client's sites) in accordance with Environmental management systems standards (ISO14001)Maintain a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships and ongoing business developmentComplete all chargeable work within the required budget and timeframes to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency of the business Ensure completion of all assigned work and relevant documentation in accordance with required procedures and standards to fulfil customer expectations Provide accurate and timely reporting to assist the planning and management of operations

YOUR PROFILE

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in positions with significant EMS responsibility, and will demonstrate excellent working knowledge of management system standard ISO14001 and auditing techniques, an EMS Lead Auditor qualification would be desirable.

Experience would be advantageous across industries with high complexity environmental aspects or environmentally permitted sites.
The successful candidate will also have good knowledge of the following aspects;

* Emissions to air including; Sox, Nox, particulates and VOC's
* Emissions to water; SS, BOD, COD and hydrocarbons
* Waste - including packaging waste and hazardous waste
* Energy consumption (Gas/Electricity) - High volume
* Impact on Ecosystems and contaminated Land


This is a regional role predominantly covering London and the home counties, with occasional national travel. Your role will be field based and therefore candidates must hold a full driving license, and will be flexible to travel with occasional overnight stays
