Network Modelling & Economics Consultant

Base salary £75k- £80k, negotiable depending on experience

Car allowance £7200

Bonus 25%

Flexible working location to work from home and commute when needed to either London, Basingstoke, Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow

The Opportunity

This role offers the flexibility to be based anywhere in the UK and to work from home and commute to one of the client offices across either London, Basingstoke, Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow. The Role

Working within the Core Networks and Operations Group with 3 direct reports, the role will be to drive delivery of Network Strategy within the Network & Business Planning function, leveraging economic models and data analytics, and influencing wider Strategic Plans within Core Networks and Operations and other Technology & Innovation functions

Duties will include

*Interfacing on behalf of CN&O with Product, Access and Technology Strategy teams, creating combined view of customer requirements on CN&O Network Strategy (scale, functionality, reach, resiliency, performance etc.)

*Working across CN&O, taking customer requirements, and responsible for development and regular maintenance of Network Lifecycle Strategic Plan that will deliver both growth and lean operating model through optimal choreography of scaling, refresh, consolidation and retirement decisions underpinned by input technology and topology choices and supporting TCO and economic analysis

*Leading Strategic Network Assessments; coordinating subject matter experts across CN&O to VP and MD level

*formulating and delivering strategic insight relevant to CN&O objectives that influences VP and MD thinking across T&I drawing upon external research and internal NME Models, Data and Analysis

*Strategy development and execution including identifying improvement plans for underlying team data & models

The Candidate

We are looking for someone with previous IT & Telecoms strategy consulting experience. Previous experience should include

*Preparing and delivering high quality strategic plans and insight to executive stakeholders that include consideration of relevant techno-economic factors and implications for Capex, Opex and associated people, processes, and systems

*Coordinating remote virtual teams to produce high quality deliverables in timely fashion

*Applying and flexing where appropriate different strategic frameworks to achieve objectives

*Influencing and persuading colleagues and teams to change established processes and achieve improvements and best practice

*Understanding of network economics and relevance to large scale (>100M Euro) Capex and Opex budgets as well as interdependencies with Product roadmaps and Product profitability
