We have an exciting role in a Secondary school, for a passionate, resilient and dynamic graduate to join a Maths department to gain paid experience in the world of teaching.
This school will offer training and support, as well as a challenge, to best prepare you for teacher training. Many graduates have built up such a strong relationship with the department they were working in they have gone on to complete teacher training through their host school the following year.

- Run tailored interventions with Year 7-11 pupils
- Perfect PGCE experience
- Training and Support provided by the Maths Department
- Paid role - £300 per week
- Role initially until July with option to be extended
- Work Monday-Friday, school hours
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will play an integral role in the Maths department, often supporting students across KS3 and KS4 at the C/D grade borderline by helping with in class work and even running their own mini lessons designed in conjunction with the head of department.
The ideal person for the role will be an ambitious, well-educated graduate with a degree in Maths. You must have some experience working with young people and/or knowledge of the national curriculum - any tutoring experience would be advantageous. This Teaching Assistant role would suit an aspiring teacher as the experience gained across all key stages will be invaluable for any PGCE.
