The Finance team based at Milton Keynes College are looking to appoint a qualified Management Accountant with experience of working within a Further Education setting to provide financial support to our stakeholders.

As part of Finance Business Partner area, this role is key to the provision of excellent financial support and information to assistant principals and Heads of Schools to enable effective financial management and best practice to assist in the achievement of College?s financial targets and growth. It will also help contribute to student success by ensuring that leadership and management have access to high quality information on performance, and to make appropriate decisions regarding financial and non-financial matters. It will include overseeing the financial management of The College, which will contribute to a broad programme of business and strategic analysis underpinning the College?s strategic objectives.

Location: Milton Keynes College, Chaffron Way
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum
Salary: Circa £45,000

As a successful candidate, you will have?

- A professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Experience of working in a FE financial position with responsibility for budgeting and preparing management accounts
- Experience of working with and developing financial systems and processes in line with organisational regulations and requirements
- Experience of presenting complex data in user-friendly form and a strong analytical ability
- Experience of cross organisational working at all levels
- A strong interest in and understanding of Education policy relevant to Further Education
- The ability to write coherent and targeted business reports
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Have good organisational skills and be able to meet deadlines
- Have thinking ability; able to plan, communicate and problem solve effectively
