Linux System Admin
Capita is currently working with a global data insight organisation to recruit an experienced Linux System Administrator to work in their office based in Epsom, too help ensure they can scale their platform on an international level. My client deals with many well-known and high-profile companies around the world, they specialise in collecting and assessing driving data for behaviour analysis, crash detection, recovery of stolen vehicles, fleet management and more many more areas.
The operations team is responsible for setting up and maintaining various parts of the infrastructure for the company. This includes the networks, firewalls, deployments, containers, continuous integrations and much more. The right candidate will have a good, general understanding of all the aspects of the ops and devops tasks required and an excellent candidate will have experience with the tools and technologies we have chosen to use. The right candidate will work in an Agile environment with daily stand-ups and regular retrospectives and contribute to the efforts to further improve our processes and practices.
The right candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Linux (Debian) Devops/sysadmin, along with the administration of cloud infrastructure AWS/Google/Azure. Strong scripting knowledge (BASH/ Python) will be needed, with experience in Java/Tomcat deployments, administration and monitoring. Working knowledge of configuring network infrastructure switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, VLANs, VPNs with Prior experience of provisioning and automation tools and Used continuous build/deployment pipeline (Git/Maven) would be advantageous.
