Salary: Full Time Position £28,000 per annum (Part time vacancy would be considered)

Currently a 4-person studio, Arnold Jones Associates Design (AJA Design) is growing in response to an expanding client base seeking a comprehensive range of services. As a closely-functioning team, we offer a warm, family-oriented work environment.

We are looking for a Web Developer with at least 5 years’ experience to join our award-winning graphic design firm. You will have a creative eye for design, project management, organisation, client communication, thought leadership and expertise in web development and interface design.

About the Role:

As our Wordpress Developer, your role will involve the following:

  • Implementing websites from initial concept, site architecture, and user interface to finished deliverable
  • Coding & implementing WordPress sites from Photoshop layout through HTML/CSS to a custom theme, functions and plugins
  • Designing & implementing new features, enhancements and content of existing websites
  • Creating and updating re-usable code libraries to streamline WordPress development cycle
  • Facilitating client WordPress training, site documentation & maintenance
  • Designing interfaces and graphics for presentations and mobile-delivered applications

About You:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in web development and interface design
  • Strong knowledge of Genesis Framework, WordPress and responsive web development
  • Strong understanding of current web development languages (including HTML5, CSS3, PHP/MySQL, SASS, Gulp.js, XML, jQuery/Javascript, AJAX, SEO, XAMPP, eCommerce, building and managing responsive sites)
  • Proficient in Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator
  • Familiarity with web standards and usability
  • Active user of social media
  • Flexibility and eagerness to identify, learn & use new and changing technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
  • Attention to detail

  • Google Cloud Platform, server management, WooCommerce, website wireframing, social media, WordPress Security or PHPStorm
