Finance Manager (9 month fixed term contract)

About the role

An exciting opportunity, initially on a 9 month fixed term basis, to support the Finance Director and the wider Programme Team with the financial control, planning and analysis of a number of Transformation projects.


  • Ownership of the financial management of a series of business transformation projects

  • Preparation, maintenance, review and quality control of cost trackers and management reporting

  • Lead and contribute to cost tracker reviews with an appropriate level of challenge

  • Preparation and presentation of business cases, cost benefit analysis, funding requests

  • Contribution to company reporting process and Programme Boards

  • Review and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations

  • Support cost effectiveness reporting for the division

  • Reconciliation of reporting and forecasting systems

  • Ad hoc analysis and query resolution

Your experience will include:

  • Graduate & Qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA

  • Solid Post qualified experience from a large / complex organisation

  • Experience of using ERP / accounting packages / forecasting systems essential

  • Strong Excel skills and good Powerpoint

  • Strong attention to detail

  • An analytical and enquiring mind

  • Confident communicator with the ability to work with finance / non finance people at all levels

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple and changing deadlines
