A high performing and growing retailer in Yorkshire. They are one of the fastest growing businesses in their sector and they have posted phenomenal year on year growth that looks set to continue. They are looking for talented and like-minded individuals to help sustain this growth and as such have a new vacancy for a Junior Buyer for homeware.
Your new role
You will take commercial ownership of the home furniture category (bedroom, dining, and living room). Managing the P&L to ensure the business remains ahead of the competition in a highly competitive market. You'll be responsible for sourcing products, negotiating with suppliers and managing the product range to ensure the right deals are in place for the customer. You will develop the strategy for your product categories as well as plan, organise and develop ranges that will ensure the business stands out from the crowd. Additionally, by staying abreast of trends in your market you will source innovative new products.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have experience of developing homeware ranges with both overseas and UK suppliers. You must also have the commercial capability to trade retail price points weekly versus competitors, sell through, stock and conversions. You will also have a strong commercial acumen as well as enthusiasm and the willingness to learn.
