This company has their fingers in many pies and is looking for a candidate to join their busy finance team. The company has been responsible for bringing some highly successful and well known programmes to our screens but is also known for being a distribution and artist management company. You could be part of this highly successful company. Reporting into the Finance Director your role will be to manage the UK finance team and take responsibility for the finances for the various companies within the group. You will need to be a qualified accountant, ideally ACA, with post qualified experience gained within a media organisation. You will be a person who embraces change and is well rehearsed at managing multiple stakeholders. The Role: • Management of a small finance team • Provide high quality analysis to support results and business decisions • Preparation of Management Accounts for a number of entities • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Oversee the client reporting, produce reports, brand analysis, client projections and answering management queries • Oversee routine meetings with department heads/Finance Manager to ensure performance is being tracked/costs controlled etc • Ensure deals and sales are tracked and a record is maintained to produce client related reports • Oversee client reporting; produce reports, brand analysis, client projections and answering management queries • Collation and analysis of monthly group consolidation reports, preparing Group P&L and balance sheets, Group budgets and forecasts, Group cash flow forecasts • Coordination of statutory group accounting, audits and tax, liaising with the auditors and tax specialists • Liaise with divisional finance functions regarding corporation tax returns, ensuring payments are made in a timely fashion • Review monthly group cash flow reports for the bank, including quarterly bank loan covenant testing • Oversee preparation and submission of quarterly group VAT returns • Oversee group payroll and pension administration • Review intercompany balance reconciliations, ensuring all recharges are invoiced and paid accordingly • Oversee bank and credit card administration • Manage the financial IT systems. The Person: • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) with extensive post qualified experience • Relevant experience gained within a Media organisation, ideally Television is essential • Experience of client/royalty reporting, consolidations and inter-company transactions • Strong academic background, educated to graduate calibre • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills • Experience of managing or supervising a finance team • Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills • Driven, highly organised and ability to stay calm under pressure whilst meeting and exceeding deadlines • Self starter who thrives in a fast moving, evolving company • Strong analytical and process orientated mind • Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail • Strong background in accounting, particularly UK GAAP • Advanced Excel skills.
