An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join a truly fantastic service in Hove!This supported living site delivers exceptional care and practical life skills to young adults with Autism and complex Mental Health needs. The aim of this service is to get these people integrated into their communities and living independently.This is the perfect role for a someone with strong leadership skills and a keen desire to progress in this industry. A wealth of in-house training is provided including NVQs (up to level 5!), Care Certificates and restraining techniques.Main duties: • The successful applicants will assist the line manager is the coordination and operational management of their supported service. • Together with the service manager you will be responsible for delivering hands on personal care to the service users in the services alongside supporting your team of Support Workers. • Supervision of the team of Support Workers • Providing a safe-space for service users whilst respecting their dignityApplicants looking to apply should: • Already be in a Senior Support Worker role • Have experience in either Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and/or Autism • Be self-motivated and resilient • Have a passion for care • Have excellent leadership and communication skills • You will also have exceptional relationship building skills and work well as part of a team. • NVQ 3 is desirableHourly rate: £9.10 If you are interested in this vacancy please send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will give you a call.
