My client, who are a well established and fast growing business, are recruiting for a accounting technician to join their friendly and hard working team. They are seeking individuals with ambition, creativity and commitment, who want to learn and develop their accounting career.

Key Features of the role:

  • Assisting in the preparation of accounts;
  • Double entry book keeping;
  • Data entry; processing and paying invoices;
  • Recording receipts and payments;
  • Preparing and checking ledger balances and other monthly and yearly accounts;
  • Completing and submitting tax returns, VAT returns and National Insurance contributions;
  • Handling company expenses and payroll systems that pay wages and salaries;
  • Using computerised accounting systems SAGE Line 50 and MS Excel
  • preparing financial reports;
  • planning and budget control;
  • assisting the refurbishment team in managing and controlling costs


  • Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Accounting Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Certified Accounting Technician qualification (CAT) (Not Essential)

Ideal candidate must have:

  • An interest in business & finance
  • A thorough, methodical and logical approach;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Competence in and confidence with maths;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good IT skills, particularly with Excel and SAGE
  • Must be self-motivated
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

This role offers an immediate start and all relevant applications will be given immediate consideration. This role offers working hours of 9.00am-5.00pm Mon-Fri and is based in Slough and the salary is dependent upon experience.
