Senior Payroll Officer

We are recruiting for a Senior Payroll Officer in the Solihull area with our well established client.

As a Senior Payroll Officer you will need to have:

  • Recognised qualification from CIPP
  • Experience of working in a high volume payroll environment
  • Understanding of payroll legislation and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • IT literate (MS word and excel)

Details:

  • Salary: up to £29,000 per annum
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-17:00 (one hour lunch)
  • Location: Solihull
  • Duration: Permanent

Role of a Senior Payroll Officer:

  • Provide timely and professional payroll service to the group
  • Ensure payroll transactions are accurate
  • Ensure any management queries are dealt with efficiently
  • Prepare high level statistical information (including budgetary data, management and planning data)
  • Process all individual monthly variable payroll data
  • Prepare reports that illustrate payroll expenditures (including items such as tax payments and benefit plan disbursements)
  • Monitor and ensure proper documentation of employee benefit payments
  • Evaluate the current systems and recommend and develop operating efficiency improvements
  • Prepare documents and disburse payroll, payroll taxes and employee benefit payments
