Marketing Executive - London - Perm - £32-40K

Our client, a cloud based Tech company is looking for a Marketing Executive who will be responsible for the execution of all UK marketing activity, mirroring the global strategy and supporting the UK go-to-market. The programme will range widely from brand awareness to targeted demand generation campaigns. The role reports into the CMO (UK-based) and involves working closely with Marketing teams in other territories.

The successful applicant will have an understanding of a variety of B2B marketing channels and tactics. Particular areas of focus include email marketing, events, social media and the execution of creative content marketing campaigns. The UK Marketing Executive and the CMO will also work together on building, managing and optimising the UK lead nurturing processes.

While the focus of the role is on the UK, there will be an expectation that the UK Marketing Executive will support other territories’ activities where necessary. Similarly, the UK Marketing Executive will be able to draw on support from the wider global marketing team as required.

Experience in B2B technology marketing is essential, and detailed understanding of cloud computing is preferred.

Key Duties

  • Execution of local programme of activity that supports the UK sales target and global marketing strategy

  • Own and run UK social media

  • Maintain SEO performance

  • Conduct profitable PPC campaigns

  • Design and execute email marketing campaigns

  • Work with CMO to design and run lead nurturing campaigns

  • Manage the UK customer reference programme

  • Assist CMO with partner vendor relationships

  • Assist CMO with managing local marketing budgets

  • Report on campaigns’ performance, learning from each

  • Support team management by making sure security and quality compliance techniques are included in the planning and delivery of department projects both internally and for clients

  • Support team management in maintaining staff adherence to all team compliance policies and procedures

Typical Activities Include

  • Liaison with UK sales team to ensure campaigns’ suitability and usefulness

  • Liaison with vendors

  • Selection and management of third party suppliers, partners and agencies

  • Building creative content campaigns for UK demand generation

  • Managing and securing attendees for owned events and roundtables

  • Managing the distribution of campaign collaterals with a view to measurable lead generation

  • PPC campaign management and optimisation

  • Localising content from other territories

  • Inputting UK contributions to corporate social media

  • Updating website

  • Reporting on campaigns’ performance and ROI

Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years in B2B tech marketing

  • Proven ability to take sole responsibility for their own area of activity and deliver quantifiable results

  • Able to work both individually and within a disparate team

  • Proficient in Google Analytics & AdWords, HubSpot (or other mainstream marketing automation platform), Wordpress (or other similar CMS) and MailChimp (or other mainstream email marketing platform)
