Deputy Director of Finance
Academies Enterprise Trust are working in Partnership with Goodman Masson to recruit a Head of Financial Planning and analysis. AET are the largest multi-academy trust (MAT) in UK with a network of 63 primary, special and secondary academies. Under new leadership, with an entirely new executive team and new Trust Board members, AET is now a radically different organisation. School improvement, governance and finance have been overhauled as part of a trust-wide programme.

This must be supported by efficient, rigorous financial control. To help achieve this we are building a new central finance team, which means we are recruiting to a number of roles.
Working alongside the Chief Finance Officer you will be a commercially astute, technically strong senior finance professional. In this pivotal role, at a crucial stage of the Trust's development, you will have a broad operational remit, with plenty of scope to shape the Finance function to meet future needs.
The successful candidate must possess a recognised professional accountancy qualification and will bring broad, practical experience of working in a similar environment or setting. You will naturally enjoy the early autonomy this role offers and be inspired by the challenges contained within.
