A highly sought after company have a new permanent vacancy within their actuarial department. This is a rare opportunity to work within a professional, engaging department within a large organisation

Role profile:

Accountable in dealing with individual customer queries/investigations in an efficient manner

Monitoring of reinsurance treaties, support investigations required from administrators, support experience studies, support Corporate Actuary activities and support on the various project activities within the Product Management area

Compiling and checking of quotes as required

Actuarial point of contact for queries and investigations for outsourced administrators

Market monitoring and re-pricing of annuities

Support the Product Management area in project activities, as well as supporting reinsurance and unit pricing requirements

Actuarial point of contact for systems developments

Support in testing systems before implementation to ensure they are fit for purpose

Support experience studies

Ensure work meets the control standards which are in place

Ensure compliance with the Technical Actuarial Standards in the tasks being carried out

Conduct all actuarial work within a framework of controls and with systems that are suitable to the circumstances and risks associated with the work or its outputs.

Ensure ongoing compliance with policies, standards and guidelines

Skills required:

Mathematics A level Grade A (Essential)

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel (VBA) (Essential), Access (Desirable)

Excellent people skills

Experience in dealing with admin queries

Employee Benefits:

Salary of £25-30k dependent on experience

25 days holiday

Target annual bonus

Non contributory pension 6%
