Ensure the quality targets are achieved on a daily basis.
To drive a philosophy of defect prevention rather than inspection through the adoption, implementation and policing of TS16949.
Collate and display the substrate defect analysis for new, pure products supplied, update and submit to your manager on a weekly basis in order to relay all quality related issues directly to the supplier including mould run supervision.
Participate in 8D/CCAR activities
Assist in IRS/Quality alerts and brief relevant staff on issues
Process audits and continuous improvement
Conduct weekly process audits on incoming and outgoing products ensuring all quality standards are being met, along with process audits on the entire paint operations.
Make decisions for quality related concerns based in production demand
Understand customer specifications and expectations. Ensure you are familiar with the customer and quality specifications for each part.
Dimensionally inspect parts to Customer Standard/control plan(DTI gauge checks)
Complete Statistical Process Control documentation and record all instances of failure on the appropriate reporting format.
Forward results and information to the relevant personnel.
Ensure TS16949 compliance of gauges & measurement equipment (calibration/MSA or Gauge R&R).
Report full dimensional status of parts using portable CMM 'FARO arm' or other measurement tools such as Vernier callipers.
Highlight issues which may become cause for reject thus preventing actual rejects in the future
Make suggestions to improve process and maximise efficiencies.
Drive and support the requirements to up hold accreditations (eg. TS16949, OHSAS 18001 AND ISO14001)
