For September 2018, we are seeking a physics’ teacher who has a passion for working with young people and are committed to making a difference to their future.

Would you like to teach in an `Outstanding` Ofsted Rating School, whereby, the academic achievement and wellbeing of our students is at the heart of all we do.

Our large and thriving Science department is a fantastic team with a wide range of experience and expertise. The school is located in the London borough of Tower Hamlets and has great transport links and is ideally situated in the centre of multiple transport links into the surrounding boroughs and Inner London.

The science faculty at the school is among the largest in the school, and comprises a diverse staff team with a wide range of experience levels and subject specialisms. The team consists of 15 teaching staff working together with the support of 2 highly qualified technicians.

The school is able to provide a fantastic working environment for science education. Sited within the practical subject specific "North-South" building, they have 10 fully fitted laboratory style classrooms alongside a generously sized and recently refurbished prep room and adjoining staff workspace with ample desk space and computer access.

Working in Science at this school provides a unique opportunity to teach science across two single sex settings and three key stages, with a strong and growing demand at sixth form. A-level outcomes at Bishop Challoner continue to be amongst the very best in Tower Hamlets and improvements in Biology, Chemistry and Physics outcomes are contributing to this high standard.

We can promise a close and productive team environment, centred on effective communication and the principles of real collaboration and support. Faculty leadership is distributed at the key stage level, with effective "joining up" of strategies to ensure continuity from KS3 through to GCSE and beyond.
