Salary & Benefits
£32,000 and £50,000, private health care, five weeks holiday per year, pension, flexi-time, relocation allowance, flat management structure, dynamic environment, 37.5 hours a week early finish on Fridays.
The successful candidate will be part of the R&D team contributing to the development of new and existing ultra high vacuum products. This is a hands on development role requiring both a strong understanding physics and the practicalability to build and test prototype components with full project ownership from inception through to design and delivery.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
PhD or equivalent in physics and or electronic engineering
Minimum of one or more years experience with UHV or HV equipment or similar
Background in instrumentation or similar with vacuum deposition techniques
Design of Experiments with an affinity for mechanical and electronic design
Continuous improvement of existing methods and instrumentation
Preparing technical reports and scientific papers for dissemination of results
Technical support of engineering, customer support and production teams
Commercial awareness and ability to interact directly with customers globally
Problem solving and creativethinking with good communication
