Credit Manager required for a contract position based in Birmingham. You will be responsible for managing a team of Credit Controllers who are responsible for chasing fees within a high volume environment. This is a key role for the organisation who are constantly looking for ways to improve processes for the advantage of their users and to maximise cashflow and improve overdue debt for the good of the organisation. You will bring your professional knowledge and strong man-management skills to ensure the best is brought out of the team and targets are met. You will engage with key stakeholders and represent the department in various meetings. You will be involved with various projects and ensure systems are maintained including the database, payments website and other internal packages. You will keep in touch with new legislation that may impact this area and ensure compliance with existing policies.
The ideal candidate will have strong man-management experience, proven experience of making improvements and strong IT skills. You will have managed a credit control function previously and be able to apply your experience to deal with difficult situations and new challenges. A focus on customer service is essential for this role as it is not a hard-faced chasing environment. Tact, diplomacy and organisational skills are what is required to ensure fees are paid.
