My client is a leading, long established mid Kent based construction / project management group, looking to strengthen their finance team with the appointment of a new Financial Controller.

This role reports directly into the management team and will drive operational improvements within the finance team, whilst also having a key input into the ongoing business strategy.

- Ensure efficient and accurate delivery of work from the Accounts Team
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Ensuring the timely & accurate preparation of monthly management accounts and finance board pack including all results, analysis of variances / trends & commentary
- Ensure weekly cost and value reports reconcile to month end contract accounts
- Attend and contribute to monthly contract reviews with commercial and contract teams
- Support commercial teams by proactive engagement in the management of key contract balances including WIP, payments on account and cost accruals.
- Work with the Business Units and Finance team to ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations (VAT, CIS etc)
- Provide financial management information as required for Directors and presentation

Applications are sought from candidates with substantive sector experience within construction / project management, in particular, with demonstrable experience of WIP and CIS.
