Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager - Business Support, the Business Analyst will work closely with business teams across the company to understand and document requirements associated with significant business problems and opportunities.

This is a hands-on role, working alongside Developers, Testers, Product Owners, UX and UI designers. The BA has a part to play in the full software development life-cycle. You will be an adaptable and pro-active self-starter who will use their initiative to solve problems and evolve internal processes, with the ability to motivate and encourage collaboration amongst Project Team members.

You will be heavily involved in scoping out new developments across all Ecommerce and Business Intelligence channels. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to manage their requirements, facilitating meetings and workshops to help in the seamless translation of information from non-technical stakeholders to our highly skilled Developers.

You will have the freedom to explore the latest methods and tools and will have responsibility for backlog refinement, user story and acceptance criteria creation along with the development of appropriate supporting documentation. You will also be responsible for getting just enough detail, just in time ready, typically working a couple of sprints in advance.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to build and maintain fantastic working relationships with 3rd party suppliers and colleagues at all levels. You will have previous experience of collecting and documenting complex business processes, both 'As is' and 'To be', and have knowledge of Lean, Agile, Scrum iterative development and incremental delivery. It would be advantageous if you were a proven certified (ISEB, BCS, CBAP, CCBA) Business Analyst.
