The ideal Speech and Language Therapist will work within a community or hospital setting with adults and elderly and will have the desired experience in working with multi-disciplinary team providing high quality neuro services.

This is a temporary three-month contract- likely to be extended with Part-time hours 08:30-16:30 (3 days a week)

Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, with immediate start, in Birmingham!

Daily roles include,

•To provide a specialist speech and language service to patients diagnosed with a neurological condition in a range of community settings using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge/neuro qualifications.
•To be a specialist resource of information for health and social care staff, patients, families, carers and external agencies who may require advice, support and guidance in the management of these patients.
•To transfer individual patients' on-going care to other agencies as appropriate and ensure that the service provided is conducted in a professional, efficient and effective way.
•To meet the service specification objectives and key performance indicators as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing high quality neuro services

Essential Skills,

•Minimum of 1 years experience in the NHS.
•Good organisation skills, demonstrating an ability to work under pressure
•HCPC Registration.
•Relevant degree or qualification.
•Full-UK driving license with access to a vehicle
•IT and computer literate to include competent use of Microsoft Office tools, Internet, Intranet, RiO data base systems.
•Ability to independently travel around the Trust - must have a car
•Good verbal and written communication skills
