Information Security Engineer - City of London
CCNA, CISSP, CISM
Joining the Security Operations function of this global business you will play a vital role in ensuring company information and information systems are protected from unauthorised access/intrusion, use, disclosure, disruption, modification or destruction, through the use of the various operational security controls, processes and policies applied.
Key responsibilities of this Information Security Engineer role are:
*Be the product owner for security solutions, ensuring they are implemented effectively in conjunction with other engineering teams, and ensuring security controls are performing as expected.
*Configuration of security tools to check for appropriate threats and vulnerabilities, within a fast-moving infrastructure department.
*Support the delivery of new projects, ensuring new projects are risk assessed, security controls are identified and implemented successfully before going live.
*Working to ensure incident response plans are up to date and are effectively tested, including the facilitation of table top workshops to simulate security incidents
*Assisting with development or maintenance of security policies and standards
*Provide security support to Research and Development initiatives
*3rd line support escalation of security issues.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
*Technical Certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, CISM, SANS
*Experience with scripting languages
*An sound understanding of application security and OWASP
*Proven experience in writing/configuring/monitoring of IDS/IPS signatures on a corporate scale.
*Strong understanding of advanced security attacks and attack mechanisms.
*Experience in penetration testing, and the ability to configure and plan proactive tests to corporate infrastructure.
*Experience with various firewall vendors, and a strong understanding of stateful/UTM/NGFW firewalling functions.
*Strong understanding of proxy functions.
*Five or more years of experience in a security role with strong working knowledge and understanding of information security frameworks, incident management, operations and application security best practices
*A solid understanding of virtualization technologies and host operating systems including Windows and Linux
The package on offer for this role is circa £70,000 plus benefits.
