We are currently looking for a Quality Manager/ Quality Assessor within the automotive industry. The role is Home-Based covering the Midlands area

Location: Home-Based covering the Midlands
Rate: Up to £46,000 per annum, car, pension, healthcare

The Role:
*Our client is a global leader working in over 120 countries, provide coordinated services worldwide for multinational clients
*As a global organisation they are able to offer career development opportunities all around the world and as a result of their continued success are now seeking a Quality Manager / Assessor to cover the Midlands
*This is a home-based role with national travel however the travel will be mainly to clients who are located around the Midlands area
*Demonstrable competence in Quality within the automotive sector is essential

Key Responsibilities:
*Undertake business assurance assessments in accordance with current procedures
*Lead multi-disciplinary and/or international assessment teams effectively, ensuring that the visit is completed within the agreed time-scales
*Produce high quality assessment reports or other reports such as summary reports, reflecting business assurance principles, in compliance with accreditation requirements and internal procedures
*Discuss additional services with clients and be able to take the opportunity to promote additional or higher value services, while actively building strong relationships
*Ensure that all internal client stakeholders are kept informed of changes and issues, escalating as appropriate
*Proactively identify opportunities and sales leads
*Pass client feedback and insights to appropriate internal recipients initiating and leading client improvement projects as required
*Keep abreast of technical and other developments in own area of expertise, maintaining CPD records, updating CV, maintaining professional registrations and producing records of competence as required
*Supervise induction/coaching/knowledge transfer for assigned new Assessors

Skills and Experience:
*Location: Ideally based in the Midlands
*Engineering or scientific background and demonstrate a good understanding of specified sector with experience of multiple sectors a distinct advantage
*A degree (or equivalent qualification e.g. HND and or associated experience) in a relevant subject such as engineering or science
*Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework and requirements of the specified sector(s)
*A thorough understanding of multi discipline management systems, i.e. ISO 9001, TS/ISO 16949 and sector scheme(s) and their application in a range of business settings
*Experience with or management of second or third party auditing/assessment, including system level auditing and process level auditing, an advantage
*Understanding of the principles of good client management and application within the Certification business
*Experience in developing and managing complex technical projects
*Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
*The ability to develop sufficient and broad knowledge of company’s products and services to able to discuss additional services with clients and take the opportunity to promote additional or higher value services, while actively building strong relationships
*The position is home based, but will require travel mainly throughout your region, and occasionally abroad, with some periods away from home
*Valid driving licence
*The right to work or ability to obtain the right to work in UK

-Payment is due only after a placed permanent employee passes the probation and rebate period
