Security Analyst Location: Norwich - FlexibleThe backgroundWorking as part of the CISO Global Cyber Security Operations (GCSO) teamto provide IT security operational services to Aviva markets. GCSOprovides resources, processes and technologies to identify and respondto information security/cyber threats, vulnerabilities and incidents inorder to minimise adverse impact to Aviva, its customers and partners.The TeamThe role is part of a team of security analysts, primarily supportingAviva's global vulnerability management service responding toinformation security cyber threats.This is an exiting time to join a dynamic team of security experts witha real passion for technology and securing Aviva's IT estate.The PersonAn experienced and dynamic individual is required with specificexperience in performing vulnerability assessments and able to analysethe data and add threat/asset context in order to prioritise remediationactivities across Aviva's global estate. You will need to have a solidunderstanding of current infrastructure, operating system andapplication vulnerabilities across a wide variety of systems and need tomaintain this understanding as new threats and vulnerabilities emerge.The analyst will represent the CISO department in different forumsdealing with a variety of business areas as well as individualsincluding senior business leaders, technology specialists, andfront-line staff.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the IT security operations for critical globalenterprise systems with strong security knowledge of IT best practices,common attack types, and detection and prevention methods. Serves as aspecialist in computer and network security, including theadministration of security systems, and consulting on general security measures. Manages the day-to-day operations of the security systems by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained Investigates and analyses security matters, identifies methods, solutions, responses to situations, and provides leadership and management in order to deliver a high level of service Performs troubleshooting as required, and can lead problem-solving efforts often involving vendors and other support personnel and/or organisations Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorised use, and acts of abuse Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for security operations, and stakeholders across the Aviva group Stays current with developments in cyber security and recommends ways for Aviva to maximise value, and take advantage of new technology and techniques Contribute to design, development and maintenance of security standards and controlsSkills & Experience Solid technical and security knowledge and experience with at least 5yrs experience in complex IT systems management and support Experience managing systems in both private and cloud hosted services (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS), and an array of operating systems to include Wintel, Midrange, Linux, Mainframe platforms Understanding of Cybersecurity standards and frameworks, eg: ISO 27001 and 27002, NIST, CIS, OSA, OWASP, SANS, COBIT Professional qualifications in computer technology Able to plan, organise and document complex system activities and to configure systems to be consistent with policies and procedures Data collection and analytics, interpretation, and presentation Able to communicate complex technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain collaboration, understanding, trust and credibility Strong team member skills, building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues in different disciplines and geographies Perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectivelyIf this sounds like the role for you we would love to hear from you.Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
