What impact will you make? The OpportunityThere is an increased need to align our technologies across North West European and Global Member Firms. This role will be key in ensuring that all new applications are architected in line with strategic technologies stacks and best practice. Role descriptionYou will be part of a new Solution Architecture team. You will have a strong influence in the way the team is set up, the processes required and the way the team works within its projects. Once established, you will work on a number of projects in the role of a solution architect. In this role you will work on a project from inception through to the completion of delivery ensuring that your design comes to live. You will get the opportunity to work with a variety of skilled practitioners across Deloitte and have exposure to a variety of business problems outside of your existing secondary domain specialism. Depending on your location you will be expected to travel occasionally to other Deloitte sites. You will report to the Head of Solution Architecture. LocationUK Nationwide HoursFull time, Monday to Friday. ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for developing the low level design from target state architectures, covering all elements of the technology stack from infrastructure, cloud, network, data, application, security and service architectures. The team will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure designs are aligned with strategy and lnfrastructure Implementation Managers to ensure the design are implemented as per plan. There will be a strong focus throughout the design phase on data security and privacy. You will be capable of defining and implementing secure systems, multiple complex interfaces (on premise and SaaS solutions), secure data structures in both legacy and leading edge technologies. You will be able to map out solutions and determine short (quick wins), medium and long-term strategic architectures that increase security, reduce risk and still deliver benefit to the Business at a reduced complexity and cost. RequirementsEssential ExperienceBaseline skills Extensive knowledge of operating systems, system security, hardware and database management (predominately Microsoft stack including Azure, LAMP and Open Source would be beneficial) Demonstrable experience in Technology Solution Architecture and design from a target architecture, application and security architecture perspective. Be able to provide examples where solutions met functional, non-functional, security and privacy requirements Design & implementation of end-to-end data and application architectures. Conceptual, logical and physical modelling Experience working within software development or SaaS / cloud architecture groups Understanding of Front end and back end technologies (e.g. SAP, .NET, C#, SQL Server, Azure, Apache) Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly and pass on this knowledge to other team members Managing security review meetings and ability to influence cross-functional teams of DevOps engineers and developers driving a security culture. Working knowledge of DevOps tools, automation and methodologies used to deploy solutions within a cloud platform Understanding of test frameworks for automated testing/compliance Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery methods in a large-scale Programme Delivery environment Architecture Governance & Best Practice - Strong verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate architecture decisions to management and developers BSc in Computer Science or similar. Secondary Skills Extensive and demonstrable experience around: Enterprise Content Management including: Document Management, Records Management, Business Process Management, Search Technologies, Information Capture, Taxonomies, Collaboration (O365), Knowledge Management Information Governance including: Information Strategy, Governance Programmes, Information Policy, Security and Access Control, Retention & Disposal, Catergorisation, GDPR, ISO27001, encryption, redaction obfuscation. Content Management System Life Cycle including: design, implementation, maintain, acquisition, end of life, portability, digital preservation. Experience in the following is desirable but not essential: Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy) Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc.) Cyber security related certifications/designations, such as: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Security+ or SSCP Foundation TOGAF accreditation or similar knowledge Leadership of junior architects designing individual components of a solution. Project Management foundation (PRINCE2). ITIL V3.0 Foundation certification. TOGAF accreditation or BCS Chartered Professional or Fellow in Solution Development & Architecture. MSc Enterprise Architecture or MSc Software Engineering.
