Be one of the first ten applicantsA leading financial services is seeking a Head of Data Intelligence & Analytics to join their growing insight business unit and head up a new team within that division.

This is a key role and will focus on driving value from an increasingly rich and diverse range of data sources and applying this across Marketing and Distribution practices. The role holder will be responsible for building out the metric framework and analytics capability, ensuring systematic delivery of reporting and insight to assess performance.

The aim is to develop deeper insights from the combination of data covering client, transactional behaviour, marketing engagement, investment performance and external market factors. In turn strategic distribution and marketing initiatives will become increasingly data insight driven As such; the role will require close working relationships with Sales, Marketing, IT, and external third parties as appropriate.

In addition to strong analytical skills the successful candidate will need to be commercially focused with strong communication skills, able to bridge the gap between detailed analytics and business focus. Most importantly the individual must be able to efficiently translate insight back into practical recommendations that add tangible

Duties & responsibilities:

Lead on the evolution of Business Intelligence to enable smart and accountable marketing practices:

Enable Global marketing to become increasingly targeted and measurable.Enhance Key Performance Indicators to assess marketing impact relative to plan.Deliver systematic production of Marketing Performance metrics and analysis to assess impact.Work with Channel marketing teams to facilitate identification of target audiences for campaigns.Establish a mechanism to monitor and control contact intensity to inform contact strategy development.Champion analytics output for adoption to increase marketing agility and personalisation.Lead on the evolution of Business Intelligence & Analytics to enable smart Distribution practices:

Work with Business Management & CRM team to evolve Distribution Metrics, and maintain a client focus.Inform key distribution initiatives including cross sales and retention through data driven insight.Support evolution of distribution practices through descriptive analytics, e.g. segmentation.Provide depth analysis of business performance for client/product segments to inform plans and assess.Develop a sophisticated analytics output that drives deep and actionable insight:

Test and implement analytical models to drive marketing cross sale and retention initiativesDevelop sophisticated analytics to drive marketing automation (e.g. lead scoring, triggers, targeting)Develop sophisticated analytics to drive Sales team triggers to increase proactivity & responsivenessIncrease engagement with data analysis through highly visual and interactive tools and outputsEstablish the environment that supports and accelerates sophisticated analytics agenda:

Work with CRM & Data team to identify new sources of data required for analysisWork with Chief Data Officer, Finance, ITS to embed an effective hub and spoke model for MI & analyticsMaintain and advance relationship with specialist analytical third parties as appropriateChampion the use of data and data driven activity across Marketing and DistributionInform next stage CRM requirements to capture data that informs future client engagement activityThe role requires:

Commercial, quant-driven with strong communication and visualization skillsExperienced in Business Intelligence production and interpretationExperienced in complex statistical analysis and data miningFamiliar with multiple analytical approaches (e.g. CHAID, Regression, Cluster Analysis)Diagnostic mind-set to identify discrepancies and improvements in data and modelsAn initiator and consensus builder, evidencing leadership and first-class communications.Familiarity with client investment decision making processes, and products across channelsExposure to Distribution and Marketing processes e.g. segmentation, targeting and campaign execution
