St Christopher’s is a leading charity for children and young people, we provide fostering, children’s homes, a range of innovative leaving care and homelessness services across the UK & Isle of Man.

We now have an exciting new role for an IS Database Administrator to join our existing IT team based at our Putney office with travel within the UK and Isle of Man.

You will be responsible ensuring the performance, integrity and security of the charity’s key databases, covering HR, Children’s records, fundraising and finance databases. You will be involved in the planning and development of the databases, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.

The successful candidate will ideally have:MS SQL MCSA or equivalent demonstrable knowledgeMinimum of 12 months’ experience supporting internal or external IT databases.In depth knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory and commonly used PC application software (e.g. MS office).Knowledge SQL Server 2008.Knowledge of backup and restore procedures.Knowledge of the Data Protections Act/ GDPR.Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills.Ability to prioritise and schedule tasks efficiently.In return we offer:A salary of £35,000 per annum depending on experience.Real opportunities of growth and development.A flexible and friendly working environment, a fun, open and honest culture.A comprehensive induction programme and career progression for high performers.A shopping discount scheme.After successful probation a contributory pension, season ticket loans, cycle to work scheme, childcare vouchers and employee assistance programme.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a developing team and make your mark.
