Charity Accountant - Part Time

Are you looking to secure a part time position between 10 and 15 hours per week?

Jenson Fisher have been engaged by an Edinburgh based Charity to recruit a Charity Accountant on an initial 12 month contract, working between 10 and 15 hours per week. Based in the City Centre, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who has a working knowledge of charitable accounting to put their expertise to good use in a busy working environment. To be successful you must be in possession of a full accounting qualification – CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent – and you must have a proven track record within the charitable field.

Your responsibilities will include;

• Preparation of periodic management accounts.
• Preparation of budgets and regular communication with budget holders.
• Calculate accruals and prepayments.
• Preparation and submission of OSCR returns.
• VAT returns.

To be considered for the position you must be able to perform the above duties and you will have previous experience of occupying a similar role within another charity.
