Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: St Helens
Salary: £30k - £40k
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturing company in St Helens. The company are expanding their Continuous Improvement team by adding two Continuous Improvement Engineer.

Continuous Improvement Engineer - Role purpose:
Improve the efficiency of internal processes, procedures, and operations. Coordinate the Corrective and Preventative action process.

Continuous Improvement Engineer - How?

  • Examine quality statistics & production data to identify inefficient manufacturing processes.
  • Get the opinion of colleagues on any internal processes that they may consider candidates for improvements.
  • Observe the relevant processes, understand why they exist, quantitatively assess, and document candidate processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Present a costs & benefits analysis of potential improvements to management.
  • Implement the relevant improvements.
  • Monitor the improvements.
  • Using best practice principles, apply lessons learned to other processes.
  • Follow the CAPA process within the Quality Management System.
  • Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator - Required Results
  • A measurable reduction in waste
  • A prioritised list of actions that could improve efficiencies
  • An improvement in right first-time manufacturing

Continuous Improvement Engineer - Necessary skills, knowledge, and experience
The ideal candidate MUST come from the manufacturing industry as a Continuous Improvement Engineer. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Ideally hold an engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng
  • Comprehensive understanding of Quality and lean tools such as SMED, KAIZEN, 5S, 5Y.
  • Ideally have a SixSigma qualification but not essential
  • Able to interpret and analyse data
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very good report writing skills
