Job Purpose

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our tax team to assist with tax compliance and analysis. We’re not expecting you to necessarily know anything about tax but a willingness to learn will be essential.

You will be fundamentally involved with, the production of the Corporation Tax compliance and reporting for the UK, analysing tax sensitive expenditure and assisting with the production of supporting documentation for our intercompany positions and dealing with ongoing day to day business and finance tax queries.

The role will require you to train either to achieve ACCA qualification, or ATT/CTA qualification. Computershare will support you with your studies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Produce in-house preparation and submission of the 25 UK corporation tax computations and returns
  • Work with external advisors to prepare and submit the corporation tax computations and returns for all 35 non-UK companies
  • Produce calculations of all corporate tax liabilities across UCIA region
  • Produce statutory account tax disclosures (both current and deferred tax), tax audit and provide tax review for statutory accounts the 60 companies within the UCIA region
  • Complete Full and Half Year reporting to the listed overseas parent company including preparation and submission of GI taxpacks the 60 companies within the UCIA region
  • Collate information regarding annual cash tax payments for external reporting purposes
  • Draft documentation and liaising with advisors regarding Country by Country Reporting Notifications across the EMEA region
  • Produce periodic analysis of tax sensitive expenditure
  • Complete periodic review of transfer pricing documentation requirements.
  • Take Responsibility for the collation of information regarding and the completion of UK withholding tax returns
  • Draft SAO filings

  • Desirable Qualifications & Experience

    AAT, ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified or part-qualified is desirableBasic to Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)Experience working in the corporate tax department of an accountancy practice or in-house corporate tax teamAn understanding of UK Corporate Tax lawPrevious responsibility for aspects of Corporate Tax Compliance including tax return submission, payment of liabilities etcExperience of working with external advisorsThe ability to manage multiple different projects at any one time
