Part qualified / fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) – Full Time Position

(Starting Salary £25K - £30K dependant on experience)

The Company has been established for over 40 years and is a successful engineering company in the Aerospace and Motorsport industry. Due to continued expansion we are now looking for a bright and ambitious accounts person to join our small and friendly team. The role reports directly to the Group Financial Controller, Finance Director and Managing Director and as well as covering the major elements of the typical finance function, across sales and purchase ledger activity, there is a need for the job holder to offer support to the Operations function with which Finance works most closely. The role includes all aspects of finance on a daily basis mainly in the UK and some overseas in a busy, high-pressured office environment. The role will involve a large amount of interaction with Operations, Stores and the Management team.

Key Objectives and responsibilities

-Production of monthly management accounts for the Group Financial Controller, Shareholders and Managing Director and Bank Manager

-Treasury including daily cash flows, payments, funding facilities management and bank account reconciliations

-Ensuring all sales and purchase invoices are uploaded in a timely fashion onto the company Sage system and in this regard allocating tasks to, and managing the work of the Accounts Assistants’

-VAT returns for the UK and EC Intrastat Declarations

-Regular review of stock i.e. obsolete stock etc.

-Valuing Work-In-Progress on a monthly basis and implementing procedures to improve Company processes

-Credit Control & General Administration

-Assist in the production of annual budgets and regular re-forecasting in liaison with the Finance Director and Managing Director

-Oversee weekly and monthly payroll function and ensuring compliance with Pension Regulator and HM Revenue & Customs

-Ad hoc Project work with Directors of the business

Experience using an accounts package, preferably Sage Line 50 and experience using databases

Experience preferable in payroll, preferably Sage

Experience with VAT (UK) & Intrastat Declarations
