Design Engineer

We are seeking to recruit an experienced / intermediate Design Engineer/Project Engineer to complement their existing team in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. Reporting to the Project Managers, the successful candidate will work as part of a small team committed to ensuring that projects are designed, managed and executed to specification, on time and within budget, as well as encompassing the technical aspects of a number of high value contracts. For the right candidate the role offers an excellent opportunity for progression within the organisation.

Qualifications & Experience:-

* Qualified / work experience within a Mechanical Engineering discipline

* Proficient with 2D & 3D AutoCAD design

* Some experience of Revit software is desirable

* Good project / file management skills

* Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office Packages

* Self motivator with good organisational skills

Main Duties:

* Running projects, including, design, producing & issuing layout drawings, liaising with the customer and working as part of a team

* Must have good communication skills, be comfortable liaising with clients and working as part of a small team

* Outline engineering designs from inception to completion of schemes utilising in-house resources

* The timely completion of multiple concurrent projects, safely and within budget

* Attend internal and external review and progress meetings

* Ascertain preliminary and detailed design requirements and solutions

* Compile & keep up to date contract documentation

* Manage site safety, health and environmental issues

* Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, other departments, site installation and construction teams

* Compile and collate final contract documentation, & "As built" drawings, test sheets etc for inclusion into Operation and Maintenance Manuals

Desirable but not essential:

* A background in building services / HVAC

* An understanding in the use of Revit software
